A rather early Golden Plover. After checking the ever-shrinking Besor pools (many Snipe, many Kingfishers, two Marsh Harriers, Purple Swamphens etc) I drove home along the lettuce fields and noticed an odd bird. An almost full summer plumage Golden Plover! A rare bird for the date (commoner come late October - November).
One of the many Kingfishers around the pools. Very pretty.
This is mainly a record of some of the birds I've seen. Many of the images are, at best, record shots.
